AirMed Care, donors made blood drive a success

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Rachel M. Heath, blood collection coordinator, U.P. Regional Blood Cente

On behalf of the U.P. Regional Blood Center, I would like to thank, AirMed Care for hosting a blood drive in the month of November. As a result of their efforts, we collected nine pints of blood. I would also like to thank all the community members that took the time to come to the blood drive to donate blood and “give the gift of life.” Because of your generosity, we received enough blood to potentially save 27 lives across the Upper Peninsula. The blood donated with the U.P. Regional Blood Center stays in the Upper Peninsula and supplies your hospital and 12 other U.P. hospitals. Thank you for supporting your community blood center. We hope to see you again at another AirMed Care blood drive in 2021.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
