Volunteers, donors spread holiday cheer

This week’s bouquets go to:

From the Gladstone Free Community Christmas Day Dinner Committee:

The Gladstone Free Community Christmas Day Dinner committee would like to thank all the generous volunteers and donors who made it possible for many in our community to have a free delicious home-made meal on Christmas Day. We served a total of 484 meals of which 203 were sit down meals served at the church, 221 were delivered to shut-ins, persons without transportation, and public safety and another 60 take out meals. Ninety-two persons signed in as volunteers to carve turkeys, peel and mash potatoes, serve the diners, deliver meals, and do lot lots of clean up. The fellowship hall was festively decorated. Many volunteers worked more than one day. Elmer’s Country Market and WYKX radio donated baked goods. Many individuals made home-made pies and dinner rolls. Thrivent provided financial support. Thanks to all who helped to provide this gift to our community.

From Todd Tardiff:

Thank you to everyone that helped to make the 2019 Shop with a Cop program once again a huge success. The generosity of Delta County businesses, individuals, organizations, volunteers and law enforcement is second to none. Without all of you, this program would not be as successful as it is.

Once again thanks to all and have a safe and happy new year.
