Community was generous during food drive

This week’s bouquets go to:

From the Michigan State Police Manistique Outpost:

Staff at the Michigan State Police Manistique Outpost collected canned goods and non-perishable items for local food pantries throughout Schoolcraft County from Oct. 14 through Oct. 25 for the 2019 Harvest Gathering Campaign.

Through the generosity of local businesses, over 4,000 cans of vegetables, along with other non-perishable items, were collected.

A total of 18,780 pounds were gathered.

Volunteers from Good Neighbor services picked up the items and delivered them to local food pantries and churches throughout Schoolcraft County.

The Michigan State Police Manistique Outpost would like to thank all of the participating businesses for their donations.

From Catherine Uhazie of Escanaba:

Adorable, entertaining and an absolute joy. Thank you for taking me to Oz…it was a heartfelt performance. Thank you for the endless amount of hours, work and dedication each and everyone of you sacrificed to put on this wonderful performance on for our community.

Victor Majestic of ,Huron Okla.:

With Veterans Day fast approaching, we would like to thank all veterans — past, present and future — for their service to our country.

This is from the five Majestic veterans, Albert and Joe (deceased) Victor, George and Mark.
