Music festival was a great day

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Nick Nolde of Escanaba:

I’d like to sincerely thank the citizens of Escanaba and the surrounding area for supporting the Lake Shore Live 2019 music festival. Our biggest crowd to date was able to enjoy a day full of great music, great food, and great fun because of local sponsors who cover our costs. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a great day.

From Carolyn Stacey of Escanaba:

A big thank you to the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library and co-sponsors Meijer, Walmart and Jim’s Music for hosting a terrific Back-to-School Open House for the community at the library on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Many thanks are extended to the DDA, Ed Legault, WDBC radio, the Daily Press, the Action Guide, the musicians, and all who helped promote or attended the Lunch on Ludington concert series at the Escanaba Marketplace this summer. Twelve concerts were scheduled and only one had to be cancelled due to rain. Special thanks go to the people who attended the concerts. The participation of the community was wonderful. It was a joy to look forward to the preparation each Wednesday knowing that the community would be coming together to sit (or dance), enjoy lunch (whether a bagged lunch or from a local restaurant), enjoy the free ice water, lemonade, and music, and maybe share a table and meet new friends.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
