Shrine Circuses brought joy to area

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Christine Bergquist of Bark River:

Belated but sincere thanks to the Shriners and all the businesses who helped sponsor the Shrine Circuses that were in our local areas recently. It takes a lot of caring businesses and individuals to bring the magic of the circus to generations of folks. I had the pleasure of taking my 6-year-old grandson, and enjoyed his enthusiastic response to the three-ring entertainment offerings: clowns, elephants, acrobatics, dogs, horses, the Transformer, jugglers, and so much more! And what’s a circus without cotton candy, funnel cakes, slushies, and a variety of toys to choose from? Thank you.

Also, a big thank you for all the organizations, churches, clubs, scouts, and individuals who took the time to clean the roadways of the trash that had accumulated over the winter months. It saddens me that people can be so inconsiderate to not take their garbage home and dispose of it properly. A little time and effort on everyone’s part would eliminate the need to have to do clean-up three times a year. Also around our towns: there are garbage receptacles outside most stores and in the parks. Let’s show some personal pride in our communities and help keep them clean.
