Choral society gave wonderful concert

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Mike “Chief” Olson of Escanaba:

Many thanks to the Bay de Noc Choral Society for its wonderful concert on Palm Sunday. A large audience enjoyed a collection of Easter/Palm Sunday/Lenten music accompanied by piano, organ, brass, hand bells and percussion. Many soloists performed and members of the Holy Name Children’s Choir added a great touch. And, thanks to Bethany Lutheran for allowing use of their sanctuary for this chorale’s twice a year concerts. Much appreciation goes to director, Ann Wood, and accompanist, John Ignatowski. Be sure to catch their Christmas concert in December.

From Al Blahnik, Knights of Columbus, Council 640:

Thank you to all the “helpers”, the surrounding communities and the participating stores for their support of the 2019 Knights of Columbus, Council 640, Escanaba Tootsie Roll Drive held on the 11th, 12th and 13th of April. It was another very successful year “helping those who can’t help themselves.”

From Pat Rudden, Escanaba Kiwanis Club:

Last week the Escanaba Kiwanis Club offered thanks to the many businesses that support our Home and Garden Show. Unfortunately, we overlooked our longest supporter, McDonald’s of Escanaba. Tim and Cathy Wilson, and Tim’s parents before them, have supplied a ton of food and paper products over the years for our Pancake Days meals. Their support goes well beyond 30 years and we are very grateful for their generosity.
