ESCANABA — Roy David LaCarte, Jr., age 47, of Gladstone passed away Monday, June 15, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone.
Jeffrey Paul (Bosko) Kobasic, age 68, passed away on April 15, 2026 at Cristian Park Village. He was born June 18, 1957, in Escanaba, the youngest child of Mary Grace (Ammel) and Ivan Anthony Kobasic. A memorial service will be held in Ludington Park Pavillion on Thursday, June 18 from 4-7 p.m., hosted by his wife Tina and family. All are invited to celebrate the life of a wonderful man, and share stories, jokes and memories. Light food and refreshments will be served.

TRAVERSE CITY — Janet Clare Reiffers, 67, of Traverse City, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 in the care of the Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. Among survivors include her siblings, Jim (Margaret) Reiffers, Mary Kay Reiffers, Lisa Gilbert, Gerald (Rhonda) Reiffers, and Paul Reiffers (Karen Wierenga). Visitation will take place on Friday, June 19th from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at noon with Rev. Timothy Ferguson officiating. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
