GLADSTONE — Patricia J. Shampo, age 87, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, April 28, 2024, at Murray’s Country View in Gladstone. Patricia was born September 2, 1936, in Escanaba, the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Creten) Shampo. Patricia spent a good portion of her life as a Merchant Marine, sailing the Great Lakes on iron ore ships, for Inland Steel. She loved being on the water and worked primarily as a chef while on the ships. She was loved and will be deeply missed.
