ESCANABA — Sherry E. Dahl, 59, of Escanaba (Ford River Twp.) passed away at her home on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Among survivors include her two sons, Jimmy and Brandon Dahl and siblings, Linda (Dan) Reed, Lisa (Dave Arkens) Bizeau, Robert (Amy) Morin Jr., and Ricky Morin. RAPID RIVER — Fred E. Smith, 85, of Rapid River, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Fred is survived by his loving companion of 25 years, Glenda Giffey of Rapid River; and children, Jason (Brooke Poquette) Smit, Amber (Joshua) Herman, and Steven (Katlyn) Smith. ESCANABA — Mary E. Anderson, 63, of Escanaba, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Among survivors include her son, Michael D. (LeeAnn Thomma) Anderson. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 22nd from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Sarah Sleeter officiating with dessert and coffee will follow. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, the family kindly requests that no flowers to be sent. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
