WILSON -- Renee Ann "Nea Nea" Wandahsega, 49, of Wilson, passed away on November 3, 2026 at UP Health System - Marquette following a very brief illness.
Renee was born on January 21, 1977 in Escanaba, daughter to Ernest Dale and Virginia Marie (Tews) Hardwick. She was raised in Wisconsin and attended Beloit High School and moved to Wilson at the age of 18.
She was well known at the Island Resort and Casino, where she worked. Over her more than 15 year career, Renee worked as a slot manager, in housekeeping, and several other positions. There was a brief period of three years where she cared for her mother after she fell ill.
In her spare time, Renee enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and watching tv. She also enjoyed playing games on her phone, especially Monopoly Go. With her family, she loved camping at her dad's camp and cherished her grand-dogs and grand-cats.
Among survivors include her children, John (Jacie) Hardwick, Sierra (Zak) Trepanier, Savannah Wandahsega, Jacob Wandahsega, and Jordan Wandahsega; four grandchildren; father, Ernest Hardwick; siblings, Nicki (Mark) Lanaville and Dustin (Audrey) Hardwick; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her mother, Virginia, Renee was preceded in death by her siblings, twin sister Becky Hardwick and brother Raymond Hardwick.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 7th at the Hannahville Community Center from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (Eastern Time). Messages of condolence can be directed to the family at www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
