ESCANABA -- Stephen John "Bouds" Boudreau, 69, of Escanaba, passed away following a brief illness on October 1, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Hospital.
He was born on August 18, 1957 in Escanaba, son to Lawrence John and Gertrude Theresa (LaFave) Boudreau. Steve graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1976.
On September 16, 1978, Steve married the love of his life, Patricia (Nelson) at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba.
Steve worked from 1978 until his retirement in 2015 at Mead Paper in Escanaba.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially indulging his sweet tooth. He was happiest when he was working with his hands and took great pride in woodworking and creating things. A devoted sports fan, he proudly cheered on the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Red Wings, and Michigan State Spartans. These hobbies and passions brought him much enjoyment and gave him many cherished moments throughout his life.
He was a long-time member of the Eagles Club in Escanaba.
Among survivors include his children, Jayme Boudreau, Jayson Boudreau, Jeremy Boudreau, and Jill (Marc) Freeman; grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Raelyn, Madelyn, Scarlett, Aylah, Nolan, Evelyn, and Adella; great grandson, Easton; brothers, Dale, Mark (Debbe), and Rick (Lana) Boudreau; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kristine Robinson; mother and father-in-law, Hugh and Dorothy Nelson; brother-in-law, Bill Nelson; and sister-in-law, Sun Hui Boudreau.
Private services will take place and he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Patricia in Holy Cross Cemetery.
