GLADSTONE -- Robert J. "BOB" Wood, 80, formerly of Gladstone, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center - Bay Area in Marinette, Wisconsin.
Bob was born January 15, 1946, to Joseph and Sylvia (Heurion) Wood in Menominee, Michigan. After graduating from Menominee High School in 1964, he joined the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. Bob graduated from Lake Superior State College with a degree in accounting. He retired from Valmet Logging in Gladstone, MI., after serving as VP of Administration and Finance.
Bob is survived by his sisters: Pamela (Thomas) Olsen, Monica Crandall, and Mary (Patrick) Berres; his brothers: Patrick (Diane), Peter (Betsy), and Matt (Cindy); and brother-in-law: Peter Mogensen. He is further survived by his special friends: Gary and Mary Bjorkquist, Pam Cloutier, and family; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Barbara Hinton, sister: Angela Mogensen; brothers-in-law: Dave Crandall, Dave Hinton, and Craig Rolfs; and furry companions: Pookie, Sadie, Buffy, Misty and others.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cadieu Funeral Home is assisting the Wood family with arrangements.
