ESCANABA -- Elijah Tyler Alexander McMillan, age 12, of Escanaba, passed away on September 18, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at Children's Wisconsin Hospital in Milwaukee.
Elijah was born on August 10, 2014 with his twin sister in Escanaba, the son of Aleshia Boye and Tyler McMillan.
Elijah attended 6th grade at Nah Tah Wahsh PSA & Hannahville Indian School in Hannahville. He loved gaming with his brother and cousins and listening to music. His favorite music artists were: Lil Peep, Juice WRLD, King Von, Lil Durk, Eminem, and Polo G. Eli loved watching sports with his family, including NBA, NFL, and UFC. He was a big fan of Steph Curry and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was always up for random adventures and walks. He harnessed a lot of bravery from an early age, even climbing trees to the very top. Eli was known to bring light and laughter to the room, even in the darkest moments, with his goofiness and sense of humor. His bright smile will forever be remembered.

Father: Tyler McMillan (Nichole Stodola) of Escanaba
Twin Sister: Arayah McMillan
Siblings: Cheyanne Tate, TJ McMillan, Denzel Menghini, Isaiah McMillan, Abel McMillan, Skyler McMillan (on the way), Karter Demeuse, Kobe Demeuse, and Kyliee Demeuse
Grandparents: Mike (Angie) Casey, Tonia (Boyd) Nelson, Jackie (Travis) Maki, and Edward (Barb) McMillan
Elijah is also survived by many Aunties, Uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers Larry Boye and Lyle Martin, his great papa Bruce Nelson, and his great grandma, "fruit snacks," Marlene. And additional great grandparents, Virginia Ansell and Harold Brazeau and Mary "Popeye" Hietikko and Ronald Borchert
A celebration of Elijah's life will take place on Saturday, October 10th with visitation from 12-4 p.m. and a meal prayer at 4 p.m. with a meal to follow at the Sault Tribe Community Center, 3721 Jingob Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
