CORNELL -- Deborah A. Vanderlinden, age 63,of Cornell, passed away at home on October 13, 2026.
Deborah was born on January 22, 1963, in Escanaba, Michigan, to Ronald and Kay (Pepin) Vanderlinden. She graduated from Gladstone High School and worked as a sales manager at Hiawatha Chef Supply. Outside of work, she enjoyed dancing, hiking, camping, and riding side-by-sides. Above all, she cherished her family and the life she shared with her fiancé, Kevin Peterson, with whom she spent the past eight years. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Chewy.
Deborah is survived by her loving fiance, Kevin Peterson; sons, Seth (Molly) Truesdell and Ryan Thompson; her daughter, Shawna (Dustin) Truesdell; her brother, David (Tina) Vanderlinden; her grandchildren, Bennett Truesdell, Ryder Millette, Axel Millette, Daxton Millette, Devyn Thompson, and Jax Thompson; Nephew, Michael Paul; Kevin’s Daughters; Kaitlyn (Lucas) Ehrenberg, and Kacie (Teddy) Peippo; Kevin’s Grandchildren; Owen Ehrenberg, Charlotte Ehrenberg, Kennedy Peippo, and Theo Peippo and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Deborah is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Vanderlinden.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 21, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. A luncheon will follow at the USW Local 2-21 Hall (1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba). A graveside service will be held at Fernwood Cemetery on Thursday, October 22, at 10:00 A.M.
