GLADSTONE -- Dennis Leon Ketcham, age 72, passed away at Iron Mountain VA Medical Center on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
Dennis was born on April 13, 1954, in Gladstone, Michigan, to Edward and Violet (Trenton) Ketcham. He attended Gladstone High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army as a radio operator in Alaska. Following his military service he worked as a semi-trailer mechanic. He moved to Chicago, where he worked for Intermodal Trailer Repair for ten years. He later returned to Michigan's Upper Peninsula and worked for Moniowczak Transit in Escanaba for nine years.
Dennis was a member of the Gladstone American Legion Post 71 and proudly participated as a Patriot Guard Rider and American Legion Rider. He also enjoyed being part of a pool league.
Outside of work and his many memberships, Dennis enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends and will be remembered for the many memories he shared with them.
Dennis is survived by his son, Jason Ketcham; his daughter, Angel Lundy; his siblings, Wanda (Charles) Dementer, Robert (Rose) Ketcham, Patsy Couillard, Gerald (Vivian) Ketcham, Timothy (Kathy) Ketcham, Susan (Robert) Kohart, and Michael (Laurie) Ketcham; his grandchildren, Dylan, Ryland, Michael Ketcham, Kaden Lundy, and Elizabeth Peplinski; his great grandchild, Aston Ketcham; his sister-in-law, Patsy Ketcham; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Edward (Dorothy), James, Charles, Ronald, Carol, Rodney, and Daniel Ketcham; and his brother-in-law, Henry Couillard.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14 at 1:00 P.M. at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone, with Military Honors presented by the Gladstone American Legion Post 71 and the Rapid River American Legion Post 301. A formal procession led by the Patriot Guard Riders and the American Legion Riders Post 71, will leave from the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone at 12:30 P.M. to the Fernwood Cemetery.
