GLADSTONE -- Timothy “Tim” Lee Anderson, age 69, of Gladstone, passed away at Christian Park on Saturday, August 1, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Tim was born October 29, 1956, the son of Walter and Lillian (Maki) Anderson.
Tim was raised on the family farm in Gladstone alongside his seven brothers and one sister. He graduated from Gladstone High School in 1975. Throughout his life, he lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Kingsford, Michigan, but spent most of his years in Gladstone, where he made his home and remained close to family and friends.
Tim was a gifted artist who took great pride in his work. In his younger years, he often entered his drawings in local art fairs, where his talent was admired by many. Some of his favorite subjects included Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, and beautiful nature scenes. He continued his passion for drawing until his health began to decline.
Tim also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was a familiar sight riding his beloved bike, affectionately known as his “cruiser,” throughout the Gladstone area. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Tim is survived by a son, Eric Anderson of Escanaba; granddaughter, Sarina; four brothers: Richard Anderson of Gladstone, Robert (Debbie) Anderson of Gladstone, Jeff (Lynne) Anderson of Escanaba, Randy Anderson of Gladstone; sister, Sandy (Jim) Gunville of Gladstone; sister-in-law, Molly Anderson of Gladstone and many Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Jerry, Rodney Anderson and sister-in-law, Lori Anderson
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who took the time to visit and spend time with Tim, with special gratitude to Marcella and Gary, Leeanne, and Junebug for their friendship, kindness, care, and support.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will follow at 5:00 PM. A luncheon will be served at the Dew Drop in Gladstone following the services. Tim will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
