ESCANABA -- Richard Dale Cayer was born in Escanaba on September 10, 1947. He passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026 at the age of 78.
Richard retired from the Teamsters Union after having working in road construction for over 40 years. In his garage, he loved working on and restoring vehicles and bringing them back to their original condition. Richard enjoyed being at hunting camp and fishing. He also loved tending to his garden.
Richard is survived by his wife Nancy Cayer, his sons Rick and Sherry Cayer, Jim and Michelle Cayer and Jeff. Step-daughter Angela Coon (Holben) and Step-son Gabriel and Tanya Holben. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
