Evie Quinn

ESCANABA -- Evelyn "Evie" Jean Quinn, 84, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Escanaba on February 22, 1942, Evie was the daughter of Robert and Edna (Besson) Snow. She attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated with the Class of 1960.

At just 23 years old, Evie was widowed with a young son and a daughter on the way. During this unimaginable time, she was surrounded by the love and support of her own family and the family she gained through her first marriage. Those close relationships remained an important part of her life. When Evie connected with Mike at their ten-year high school reunion, it marked the beginning of a beautiful 56-year marriage filled with devotion, adventure, and treasured memories.

Together, Evie and Mike raised four wonderful children and delighted in watching their family grow to include seven grandchildren. Evie later spent more than a decade working at The Ark Preschool, where caring for children brought her a deep sense of joy and purpose.

Evie and Mike shared a love of travel that took them around the world, including memorable journeys to New Zealand, South America, Alaska, and Ireland. Closer to home, Evie cherished the time she spent walking with her dear friends Peggy and Chris, as well as relaxing with a good book. She read hundreds upon hundreds of books.

More than anything, Evie will be remembered for the way she made people feel. She had a remarkable gift for making those around her feel loved, supported, valued, and needed. Selfless and deeply caring, she placed the needs of others before her own and found her greatest joy in looking after the people she loved.

Evie was the embodiment of unconditional love. Even when she was not feeling her best, she continued to care for those around her. Her life was grounded in faith, family, and a sincere belief in the goodness of others. She leaves behind a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known her, and her love will continue to live on through the family and friends who cherished her.

In addition to her loving Husband, Michael Quinn, Evie is survived by:

Children: Mike (Erin) Quinn of Hartland, WI; Toni (Jeff) Miller of Rapid River, MI;

Tom (Stacey) Quinn of Odenville, AL; and Kelly (Kristin) Quinn of Grand Blanc, MI

Brother: William (Sharon) Snow of Idaho

Sister: Elaine Connelly of Arizona

Sister-in-law: Pati Snow of Lansing, MI

Seven Grandchildren: Kendyl, Casey (Kieyanna), Levi, Mackenzie, Hayden, Kaylie, and Avery
