ROCK -- Brenda Jean Henning, age 69, of Rock, MI passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Transitions Assisted Living in Gladstone. She was born June 11, 1957, in Escanaba, MI and was the daughter of Alfred and Elsie (Lampinen) Norden. Brenda graduated from Rock High School in 1975. Together with Donald Berry, Brenda raised their two sons Randy and Robert Norden. Donald preceded her in death on April 29, 1988. She married Keith Henning in 1989 and together they had one son Daniel Henning.
Brenda was employed at the Rock Senior Center in Rock, MI as the head cook for many years. She was also a faithful member of the Faith Lutheran Church, helping start the food pantry at the church. She was also a member of the Rock American Legion Auxiliary. Brenda loved her town of Rock and served on the township board several years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and spending time with her family and her grand babies.
Brenda is survived by sons Randy Norden of Rock, Robert Norden of Rock and Daniel Henning of Escanaba; grandchildren Hailey, Aiden, Skylar, Bellarose, Theodore and Ryker and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Rock. Funeral services celebrating the life of Brenda Henning will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday at the Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Sara Sleeter officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral services in the Rock Cemetery. A luncheon will be served following the burial services in the Faith Lutheran Church fellowship hall.
