Randall Perron
ESCANABA — It is with mixed emotions, great sadness yet rejoicing, that we announce the passing of and Home-going of our dear husband and father, Randy Perron, who departed this life and entered the next, on June 30, 2026, at the age of 71. We grieve, but not as those without Hope. We have not lost him, because we know where he is.
Randy was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. He cherished his wife Kim (Wolfgang) for 48 years and was faithful only to her until death parted them. Together they built a home centered on family, friends and faith.
Randy’s love was unconditional and his support was consistent. One of his greatest joys was spending time with immediate and extended family and friends.
Randy was born on February 5, 1955, in Johnson City, NY and was the son of Alton and Lucille (Wheeler) Perron.
He graduated in 1973 from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV. He also graduated in 1977 from Appalachian Bible College in Bradley, WV. In 1978, Randy and Kim married in Fayetteville, WV. Randy continued his formal education at Bay De Noc Community College in Escanaba, MI. Graduating in 1984 with an RN degree. He worked at OSF Hospital in Escanaba, MI as an Operating Room RN for 38 years, retiring briefly to New Smyrna Beach, FL in 2017.
In 2024, Randy returned to the UP, his heart had always been here. Randy was the “strong, silent type”, not one to “toot his own horn”, but he was respected by his colleagues and associates because of his good work ethic and integrity.
Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, the out-of-doors, physical labor, designing and building things, hobby-farming, raising chickens and gardening. His “behind the scenes” helpfulness and kindness touched the lives of many. He has left the legacy of being a good and godly man.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Perron; his son, Nathan (Meg) Perron and his daughter, Hannah (Les) Cantrell; his 3 grandchildren, Mary, Lucy, and Seth Perron; brother, David (Jan) Perron and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda (Ivan) Scarbrough.
A visitation will be held on July 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Garden Christian Fellowship Church, 6423 State Street, Garden, MI 49835. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at 11:00 am at the
Garden Christian Fellowship Church. All are invited and welcome to stay for the meal following the service. We will remember, honor and celebrate Randy’s life together. Though he is no longer with us, his example of faithfulness to God, his love for his family and friends will remain in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
