ESCANABA -- Lauri Ann Anderson, 65, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Born on May 19, 1961, in Escanaba, Lauri was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Quist) Anderson. She grew up in Cornell and attended schools in both Cornell and Escanaba. Lauri dedicated more than 40 years of her life to Andex Corporation in Escanaba, where she worked as a skilled die maker until retiring in 2020 due to health reasons.
A faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Lauri found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the outdoors and cherished time spent camping, cooking over a wood fire, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and relaxing around a campfire with family and friends. She took great pride in her home and especially enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. Whether playing cards with loved ones or trying her luck at the casino, Lauri treasured every opportunity to laugh, visit, and make lasting memories with those she loved.
Lauri is lovingly survived by her son, Troy Snowaert of Escanaba; her brother, John (Cathy) Anderson of Cornell; her brother, Richard (Carol) Hentz of Howard, Wisconsin; her sisters, Gayle (Dwayne) Noel of Cornell and Paula Russell of Northland; along with several cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Anderson; her brother, Glenn Hentz; and her nephew, Dwayne Noel.
A woman who appreciated hard work, the beauty of nature, and the comfort of family, Lauri will be remembered for her independent spirit, her love of the outdoors, and the many special moments she shared around a campfire, at the card table, or in her beautiful gardens. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church with Pastor Lily Brondyke officiating. A luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
