Kevin Flagstadt
ESCANABA — Kevin Arthur Flagstadt, 63, of Escanaba, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born on July 16, 1962 in Escanaba, son to Alan J. and Joanne (DeLaire) Flagstadt. Kevin was a lifelong resident of Escanaba, graduating from Escanaba High School, class of 1981. In 1991, he received two associate degrees from Bay College and then continued his education and earned his bachelor degree in 1995 from Northern Michigan University.
For seven years, Kevin worked for Bridgewood Group Home and after that at Pathways Community Health of Delta County, as a social worker. He then began his career in the service industry bartending at Granada Bar, Baron’s Bar, and then the Buck Inn prior to his retirement.
Kevin enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, and canning his vegetables that he grew. He loved all music but was partial to rock and roll, attending many concerts during his life.
Among survivors include his siblings, Kristine (Gus) Olson, Kathryn Flagstadt, and Kenneth (Shelly) Flagstadt; nieces and nephews, Luke Olson, Leah Olson-Aftab, Levi Olson, Kenneth Flagstadt Jr. and Krystal Wallin; and seven great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Flagstadt.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place on his birthday, July 16th from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Les Cheneaux Apartments Community Room, 825 S. 26th St., Escanaba. Words of remembrance and prayer will be shared at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Delta County Animal Shelter.
Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
