CORNELL -- Gorg Lu Reed, 18, of Cornell, MI, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. Gorg was born on July 30, 2007, in Escanaba, MI, to Ron and Becky Reed. He was an artistic soul, a lover of animals, and a dedicated friend. He studied in the health care field and was quick to be brave in a tough situation. He was a uniquely talented beader, painter, crocheter, writer, and entrepreneur. He loved sunrises, his pets, waterfall adventures, watching his favorite shows on repeat, car rides, and bringing groups of his friends back to his family home in Cornell, even after he moved out on his own. He is infinite and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother and father, his sister Isabelle Reed, and many friends and family. We invite everyone who loved Gorg to attend a celebration of his life from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ludington Park pavilion in Escanaba on Thursday, July 30. Bring a dish to share if you like. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dream Maker Children's Museum.
