HERMANSVILLE -- Daniel William Hay, 73, of Hermansville, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at his home.
He was born on November 11, 1952 in Escanaba to the late William and Audrey (Ettenhoffer) Hay.
Daniel worked for ThermoFisher Scientific in Two Rivers, WI as a forklift operator for an astounding forty years before retirement in 2013. In 2016, Daniel returned to the U.P. to help care for his parents and then moved to Hermansville.
He enjoyed the great outdoors, spending time bass fishing, hunting and camping. Daniel also liked traveling to Alaska to see his sister with family.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Hay of Manitowoc, WI; five grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie Turner, Rodney “Butch” Goodyear, Lorrie (Kim) DuFour, Thomas (Darlene) Hay, Luann Cuitar, and Paul Hay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Audrey Hay; daughter, Carrie Lynn Pribyl; and brother, Steve Hay.
Per Daniel's wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Hay family.
