RAPID RIVER -- Curtis Morgan Bacon, age 79, of Rapid River, walked on suddenly on May 14, 2026. Curt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife Penny; his children, Andrea (Dave) Hagebusch, children, Kelsey, Michael, Katie and Matthew Hagebusch, Alice Miljour, children, George, Cayden and Melina Miljour, Amy (John) Hemmer, children, Alexzandra (Johnny) LeMire, David (Hailey) Richards, Mya, Logan, Connor, Ayla, and Barrett Hemmer, Brian (Amber) Bacon, children, Alaysa, Brielle and Adelyn Bacon, Glen Alexander, children, Logan (Kayla) and Hanna Alexander, Chase (Mary) Alexander, children, Ella (Caleb) and Chloe Alexander, and a great grandchild expected in October. Sisters, Lois Ann Collier and Alice (Duane) Zuidersma.
Curt was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Watters, brother-in-law, Dan Collier and his beloved black lab, Bailey.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. at the Grace Church in Gladstone. Military Honors and the Conservation Officer Honor Guard will be presented before the celebration of life service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
