Patricia Ustine
We honor the life of Patricia M. Ustine, who peacefully passed away at the age of 90. A devoted wife, beloved aunt, and lifelong adventurer, Patricia lived her many years with grace, curiosity, and a steadfast spirit. Born on February 14, 1936, in Escanaba, Michigan, to her loving parents Flora and Adolph Sarasin, Patricia grew up in the Upper Peninsula, where she developed the warmth, resilience, and appreciation for the natural world that shaped her life. Patricia shared 69 wonderful years of marriage with her cherished husband, Chuck Ustine. Together, they embraced life’s adventures–especially their travels throughout the American West. She spent many happy years in West Allis, Wisconsin, where she built lasting friendships and a meaningful life rooted in community. A devout member of the Catholic Church, Patricia’s faith guided her throughout her life, offering her strength, peace, and a deep sense of purpose. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chuck; her parents, Flora and Adolph Sarasin; her sisters, Elaine and Rosemary; and her brothers, Ray and Bud.
She is survived by her sister, Phyllis, as well as several nieces and nephews, including many great-nieces, great-nephews, and even a few great-greats who cherished her deeply. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba, Michigan, with a luncheon to follow. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, remember, and celebrate Patricia’s life. Patricia’s long and beautiful life leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of faith, warmth, service, and love.
