Debra Ann Friets

Debra was born on May 12, 1958, in Escanaba, the daughter of David L. and Esther (Cottam) Friets. Although originally from Escanaba, MI she was a longtime resident of Kenosha, WI. Debbie left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. A fiercely independent and creative spirit, Debbie was known for her fun-loving nature, generous heart, and ability to bring people together. She dedicated many years of her career to the Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, Illinois. She loved spending time with family and friends, adored animals, and found joy in nature through camping, beach days, and the outdoors.

Debbie is survived by her mother, Esther (Patricia) Friets; her siblings, Connie Friets and David Friets; her niece, Samantha Sullivan; and her nephews, David Friets, James DeBrock, and Jake DeBrock. She was preceded in death by her father, David Friets, and her sister, Linda Sullivan. Debbie will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and the happiness she brought to so many. She will be deeply missed by many.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Friets family.
