Clark Heim
BARK RIVER — Clark Gabriel Heim (Hummer), 81, of Bark River, MI passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on June 21, 1944 in Bark River, he was the youngest child of Ray and Pearl Heim. He attended Bark River- Harris High school and entered the workforce after graduation.
Clark spent 46 years working for Mead Paper Company. He started as a pipefitter and worked his way up to Woodyard Superintendent before hanging up his hat. Outside of work he coached Bark River- Harris football on and off for many years. He loved hunting and the outdoors. To relax, he could also be found dozing in his recliner with a Tigers or Lions game on in the background.
Clark is survived by his children, Mark (Lynn Vitek) Heim and Denise (Phil) Gilbert. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Nikki (Brooks) Pirlot, Jeremy (Kasey) Heim, John (Emily) Heim, Marshall (Erin) Gilbert, Garrett (Taryn) Gilbert, Logan (Sam Paradiso) Heim. Besides his immediate family, he is survived by special friend Maggie Irving; brother, Ken Heim; and sister-in-law, Grace Heim.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary; brother, Ron; and foster parents, Pat (Hollo) and Lloyd Olson.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bark River. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rick Courier officiating. A meal will be served in the church hall following mass.
