Carla Gieryk
ESCANABA — Carla Jean Gieryk, age 71, of Gladstone passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones at the Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba.
Carla was born May 27, 1955 in St. Ignace, Michigan the daughter of Ross and Minerva (LaDuke) Closs. She was united in marriage to Michael Gieryk.
Carla is survived by her daughter, Tammi (Bill) Belanger, son, James Gieryk; grandchildren, Devon Gieryk, Brianna (Allen) LeBoeuf, Kyle Belanger, Taylor, Tylir and Tylen Gieryk; great grandchildren, Alex, Carly and Onyx; one brother, three sisters and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Michael Gieryk Jr. and her grandson, Cody Belanger.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
