Michael Groleau

Michael “Mike” James Groleau, 70, of Wilson, passed away surrounded by loving family on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at his home in Wilson. Mike was born July 25, 1955 in Escanaba to Romeo and Irene (Wery) Groleau. He was raised in Wilson, and attended Carney High School, graduating in 1973. He then attended Bay de Noc Community College. Mike married the love of his life, Debra Lanaville, in Wilson on August 3, 1975.

Mike was the owner of his own concrete business, Groleau Construction. Prior to that, he worked for Pierce Construction, Berger & King, and was a self-employed truck driver. He semi-retired in 2024 to relax and spend more time with family. When he wasn’t working, Mike enjoyed building and flying remote control airplanes, traveling, and riding his motorcycle.

Mike is survived by his wife, Debra Groleau of Wilson; children, Shannon (Bryan) Castle, Curt (Angie) Groleau, and Tim (Brandee) Groleau; grandchildren, Wyatt Groleau, Alivia Groleau, Ava Groleau, and Miranda Groleau; siblings, Susan (Ed) Jenkins, and Jonathan Groleau; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Irene Groleau; and his brother, Jeffrey Groleau.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 31st beginning at 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm (Eastern Times) at the Wilson Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The graveside service and meal will immediately follow.
