James Kleikamp

MARQUETTE — James “Jim” J. Kleikamp, 78, Wilson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Marquette, MI on Sunday May 17, 2026. He was born on March 30, 1948 in Daggett, MI, son of the late Royal and Marion (Ponegalek) Kleikamp. On November 4, 1972 he married the former Jean Piche at St. Bruno’s Church in Nadeau.

Jim served his country in the U.S. Army and is a proud Vietnam Veteran. He worked as a manager at Robinsons Furniture for over 24 years until his retirement in 1996. Jim loved woodworking and will be remembered for the many different wood creations he made over the years, donating many of them to different organizations.

He is survived by his loving wife, a daughter: Amy McKnight, a granddaughter: Haley McKnight, seven siblings: Gary Kleikamp, Ron (Cindy Kalous) Kleikamp, Donna (Steve) Cappaert, Diane (Allen) Sacheck, John (Carol Normand) Kleikamp, Bernard (Patty) Kleikamp and Dave (Sharon) Kleikamp, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Mike Kleikamp.

Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Thursday May 21, 2026 at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday at church with Fr. Benny Mathew officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Nadeau Township Cemetery with Tony Revord American Legion post #244 rites at graveside. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
