James Fleetwood

SPALDING — James (JIM) Fleetwood, 75, died March 31, son of Garis & Marian Fleetwood from Spalding, MI. He’s survived by wife Diana Ruhl Fleetwood 72, sons Derek 37 & Tyler 34 & sister Carol Ann Fleetwood 77. Jim was a postman in S Fl & retired to Spencer, TN in 2011. Although he stopped light drinking & smoking in his early 30s, he died of tongue & throat cancer after being diagnosed 9-months, previously. The heavy amount of pesticides used for 15-yrs around their huge 2-story log home located in a forested area may have been a risk factor. Jim was a devoted husband, father &, in his later years, a fundamental Christian.
