Dennis Victorson

ESCANABA — Dennis W. Victorson, age 85, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Born on March 30, 1941, in Escanaba, Dennis was the son of Albert and Ethel (Wilson) Victorson. Known to family and friends as “Denny,” he was a gifted athlete during his years at Escanaba High School, where he earned letters in both baseball and football all four years before graduating with the Class of 1959.

Following high school, Denny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. On May 29, 1965, he married the love of his life, the former Nancy LaFave, in Escanaba. Together they shared more than sixty years of marriage and built a life centered on family, hard work, and enduring love.

Denny began his career as a salesman with National Cash Register Company and went on to work for Northern Rebuilders, Harnischfeger, and Mead Paper Company, where he dedicated twenty-five years before retiring in 2005.

A lifelong member of the community, Denny was a proud member of Escanaba Elks Lodge #354 and Escanaba Eagles Aerie #1088. He was well known for his friendly nature, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to his family.

Denny is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; daughter, Debbie (Dave) Cordy of Escanaba; son, Steven (Angela) Victorson of Bark River; grandchildren, Taylor (Larry Natzger) Cordy, Matthew Cordy, and Sydney Victorson; great grandchildren, Emma and Noah; sister, Janet Stacewich of Escanaba; along with several cherished nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard “Dick” Victorson.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Services conducted by the Delta County Veterans Council will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Daniel VanBeek.

A luncheon will follow in the Ludington Room at Anderson Funeral Home.
