Lyle E. Martin

Lyle was born November 4, 1953 in White Pine, Michigan, the son of Orville and Donna (Trierweiler) Martin. He was united in marriage to Debra Kay Dahn on June 2, 1978. Together they raised their three children at their home in Brampton, MI. Lyle attended college at Bay de Noc Community College and Ferris State University where he received two Associate’s degrees in business and automotive. He held many certificates including those in mold remediation and fire and water restoration. He was the proud owner and operator of D&L Janitorial Fire, Water, and Mold Specialists. He was also a patent holder for the Edgee vacuum cleaner attachment. In his free time, Lyle enjoyed fishing, hunting for morel mushrooms, being at his cabin, and most importantly, spending time with his greatest joys: his grandkids.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Chris (Mari) Hayes, April (Adam) Pierce and Angie (Mike) Casey; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Tammy) Martin, Kathy (Jerry) Conklin, Patrick (Cindy) Martin, David Martin, Sharon Hunter, Mary (Harvey) Heburn and Donna (Scott) Winebarger; sisters-in-law, Kathy Martin and Teresa Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Gary and Steven Martin; sister-in-law, Ingrid Martin and brother-in-law Jim Hunter.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 18 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at New Life Community Center in Escanaba.
