HURON, Ohio – Victor Ivan Majestic passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the age of 93.
He was born December 23, 1932, in Rapid River, Michigan, to Matt and Mary (Merle) Majestic. He was the brother of George (Sally) and the late Albert (Flossie), Joe (Boots), Mike (Carol), Matt, and sisters Helen and Mary (Don) LaCrosse.
Victor graduated from Rapid River High School in 1951. He married his beloved wife, Alice Kallerson, on February 14, 1953. Drafted in 1953, Victor served as a Private First Class in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955.
He worked as a tool and die maker for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, Ohio, for 35 years, retiring in 1997. Victor loved hunting, watching sports, and spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandkids. He was an avid golfer and won the Croatian Open Golf Tournament on several occasions.
He was a devout member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a member of the Huron Lions Club, the Huron Eagles, the Knights of Columbus, and American Legion Post 301 in Rapid River, Michigan. He was a Life Member of American Legion Post 83 in Sandusky, Ohio. Victor was most dedicated to his role as husband and Poppa.
Victor is survived by his wife, Alice; his children, Gary (Carolyn) Majestic, Debbie (Vince) Locker Auciello, Sue Majestic-Johnson, Mark (Dawn) Majestic, and Jeff (Sarah) Majestic; and his grandchildren, Molly, Emily, Nathan (Anne), Kristine, Faith (Richard), Vaughn, Tessa (Chris), Chloe (Mike), Gabby, Victor, Ivan, and Alexandra, along with great-grandchild Henry and step great-grandchildren George, James, Aurora, and Ginny.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Philip Yontz, and his son-in-law, David Locker.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Berardi’s for many wonderful family meals over the years. They also wish to thank the staff of Admiral Pointe and SouthernCare Hospice for their tremendous kindness and compassion.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at Fosters Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church.
