ESCANABA — Marlene G. Robinson, 93, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday morning, March 19, 2026 at her home.
She was born on August 7, 1932 in Wilson, MI, daughter to Mose and Lena (DeGrave) Lanaville. Marlene was raised in Wilson and has resided in Escanaba since 1993.
On July 30, 1950, the former Marlene Lanaville married Earl Robinson at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wilson.
Marlene and her husband, Earl owned and operated Robinson Manufacturing in Wilson for many years.
Marlene was an amazing mother, a proud devoted grandmother and great-grandmother who found her greatest happiness in her family. She loved being present in their lives celebrating milestones, sharing laughter, and simply spending time together.
She enjoyed family get-togethers, weekends at the cottage, daily coffee visits with her son and dinners at the Stonehouse, where laughter and stories were always shared. She loved a good party, a great cocktail and had a special way of making every moment feel like a celebration.
Her love, kindness, and joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Among survivors include her son, Roger (Eva) Robinson of Bark River; two grandchildren, Brad (Steph) Robinson of Wilson and Brooke (Josh) Allen of Oconto, WI; great grandchildren, Hunter Robinson and Maverick Allen; siblings, Emma Wilson, Marilyn Fournier, and Joann Wendt; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Earl; Marlene was preceded in death by daughter in law, Kristine Robinson; two sisters, Verna Hakes and Donna Lanaville; and brother, Ken Lanaville.
In keeping with Marlene’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Inurnment will take place in the Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.
