Thomas A. Eugate

He was born on January 19, 1950 in Escanaba, son of Michael J. and Mildred J. (Pinar) Eugate. Tom graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1968.

On September 21, 1968, Tom married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Ann LaCosse at St. Anne’s Church in Escanaba.

Tom worked as a pipefitter for 43 years for Mead Paper Company, retiring 2012.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making maple syrup. He loved working in his garden and being with family and friends.

Among survivors include his wife, Patti of Gladstone; children, Lori (Kurt) Ball of Negaunee, Debbie (Erik) Spindler of Gladstone, and Tom (Michelle) Eugate, Jr. of Texas; grandchildren, Zack and Zoie Reule, Nathan and Ashley Ball, Brad and Megan Spindler, Thomas and Abigail Eugate, Joe (Tiffany) Voight, Rachele Voight (Jordan Felber), and Matthew (Katie) Asselta; two great grandchildren; brother, Mike (Jo) Eugate; brother and sister-in-laws, Cindy Eugate, Richard (Judi) LaCosse, Linda (Jim) Norgart, Steve (Alice) LaCosse, Dan (Debbie) LaCosse, and Jeanne LaCosse; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Russ and Bob Ponzio.

In addition of his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Logan Johnston; brother, John Eugate; sister, Joyce (Jack) Beach; and brother-in-law, Tom LaCosse.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
