ESCANABA – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Denesha, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, who left us peacefully on February 21, 2026.
Born on April 23, 1945, she was a proud graduate of Escanaba High School, Class of 1963. She carried the strength and resilience of her generation throughout her life; a woman who was fierce, kind, and by her own admission, wonderfully stubborn. Those qualities shaped the way she loved: boldly, loyally, and with her whole heart.
On September 14, 1985, she married the love of her life, Terry Denesha. Together they built a life grounded in devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart, and her pride in them was evident to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Denesha; her daughters, Tina (Ron) Carlisle, Cindy (Una) Henderson, Becky Gauthier, Paula (Russ) Shiverdecker, and Kris (Jeff) Gates; her sister, Violet Carter; and her brother, Donald (Bobbi) Carter. She also leaves behind 15 cherished grandchildren and 12 treasured great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Hunter Gauthier; her first husband, Robert Jacques; and her parents, Carl Anderson and Ethel (Floyd) Anderson Raffaelli.
Her strength, sharp wit, warm heart, and steadfast love will live on in the family she built and nurtured. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of courage, kindness, and fierce devotion will continue to guide those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles on February 25, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m., where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life beautifully lived.
The Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Denesha family. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
