ESCANABA – Andrew A. LaForest, 37, of Escanaba, passed away Saturday morning, February 21, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Hospital.
He was born on April 21, 1988 in Escanaba, son to Marvin Adams Jr. and Debra LaForest. Andrew graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 2007 and then enlisted in the Marines.
Andrew loved being a welder and worked as a boilermaker. He was employed for Marinette Marine for two years and also was a cook at the Ludington Grill.
Andrew was quiet and kind hearted. He loved so many things: people, animals, and nature. Andrew had a passion for football and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, being around a bonfire, hunting, and fishing. His happiest of times and true love were his wife and children. Andrew was an active dad who loved going on walks and simply throwing the football around with them.
Among survivors include his wife, Sabrina M. LaForest of Escanaba; children, Summer Warner, Braxton, Braedan, Brooklynn, and Airyanna LaForest; parents, Debra and Allen Klotz and Marvin and Mary Adams; siblings, Ryan LaForest, Craig (Hattie) Klotz, Janel (Justin) Poquette, Mathew (Brittney) Adams, Tyler (Samantha) Adams, Amanda (Dustin) Lanaville, Jordan Adams, and Alex Adams; grandparents, Randy and Paula Grayer; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother, Kyle Adams and paternal and maternal grandparents.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, February 27 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 p.m. at the USW Local 2-21 Union Hall, 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba. The family respectfully requests that friends and relatives wear their favorite NFL attire when attending.
