Alex Scott Person

Alex was born on August 7, 1995, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, the son of Andrew and Tina (Miron) Person. He attended and graduated from Rapid River Area Schools Class of 2013. He further pursued a Technical Writing Degree from Michigan Tech University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. Following graduation, he was employed in Madison, WI for some time before returning home to Rapid River due to some health issues.

Alex was a fun loving and quiet, reserved kid until he got to know you…then he was full of pranks and jokes. He had a passion for video games and maintaining his online presence. Alex will be greatly missed.

Alex is survived by: parents: Andrew and Tina Person of Rapid River, MI, siblings: Sarah Themel and Brent Themel, nieces and nephews: Dominic, Maddie and Paisley Themel, paternal grandparents: Don and Darlene Person, aunts and uncles: Angie (Jeff) Lindstrom, Greg Sundalius, Harley Person, Robert Deno, Richard (Tammy) Deno, James (Carrie) Flath.

Alex is preceded in death by: maternal grandparents: Don Flath and Susan Miron, sisters: Kristen and Samantha, aunt: Mariam Sundalius.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from Noon until 2:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Robert Lake officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Person family.
