While Tom enjoyed many things, he especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Brandy (Roy IV) Deslatte of Hyde. His grandchildren, Ashley, Xavier and Zayden Deslatte of Hyde. His brothers, Charles (Tara) Clark and Steve (Sarah) Clark both of Hyde. A sister, Rose (Dana) Cayer, nieces Candace Cayer and Dayna (Kurt) Scherbarth all of Wauneta, Nebraska, and nephew Kyle (Morgan) Sundberg of Rock, Michigan. Tom also dearly loved his many aunts, uncles and cousins who survive him, as well as his friends and those who’ve gone before him.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Antone Clark, his oldest brother Matthew, and infant grandson, Roy Deslatte V. His best friend Mad Max and grand-dog Izzy also preceded him in death. Max spent countless hours over the road with Tom bringing him comfort and company.

Most recently, Tom was a proud trucker employed by Pike Distributing in Gladstone, Michigan. Tom took pride as an essential worker working throughout the pandemic. During his travels and years on the road, he was able to visit various family members and relatives throughout the United States. In addition to spending time with his family, Tom loved fishing, kayaking, shooting for sport, traveling in his semi, snowmobiling and ORV riding. He fiercely valued his family and would check in often while on the road. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Frequently talking of them with pride and gratefulness.

A memorial for Tom is being planned for a later date. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson (906) 753-2274 is assisting the family.
