HODGKINS, Ill. — Ruth Ursilla Sneed, 96, of Hodgkins. Beloved wife of the late Dallas. Loving mother of Sharon (Joseph) Wells, Randy Sneed, Starr (David) Corner, Ronald (Laura) Sneed and Rhonda (Steve) Grachen. Devoted grandmother of 10.  Cherished great-grandmother of 6.  Dear sister of the late Dorothy (late Robert) Harris, the late Richard (late Judith) Jaeger, Jr., the late Janice and the late Jeanette Jaeger.  Fond aunt of many.  Visitation 10am until Funeral Service 11am Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 6605 South Kane Avenue, Hodgkins, IL 60525. Interment St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hodgkins.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church (address above) appreciated.  Ruth graduated from Escanaba High School in Escanaba, Michigan. She worked in the office at Western Electric for 7 years, and she was “lunch lady” at Hodgkins and Gurrie Schools for many years.  Ruth was an active and faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for many, many years.  Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside, IL at 708/352-6500.
