Richard James Sundling

Richard was born February 8, 1968, in Pewaukee, WI the son of Richard Julius Sundling and Nancy Martin. He spent many years as a Logger for others; however, he eventually started his own business, Sundling Custom Harvesting.

Richard, better known to many as Mannie, had two dogs Mocha and Daisy who were his constant companions. He loved fishing and was always outside or in the garage working on different projects in his free time. Mannie took great pride in his work running a harvester/logging. Because of his own work ethic, he was incredibly proud of his son, Lucas, for starting his own family business, Sundling Trucking.

Richard is survived by: children: Samantha Sundling of Green Bay, WI and Lucas (Jenna) Sundling of Rapid River, MI. siblings: Lisa (Mike Lasecki) Hamilton of Wells, MI and Debbie (Tim) Kowalefski of Wauwatosa, WI.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Sundling-Dahn.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. A celebration of Richard’s life will take place at 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Sundling family.
