Richard John Lyle

He was born on August 28, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to Helen and Adam Lyle. He moved to the Escanaba area in 1977 where he worked for Canteen Vending Service as a Machine Repairman for 34 years.

Richard had a great sense of humor that made him the life of any party, and he loved making jokes and loved having people make jokes at his expense.

He was a die-hard Detroit Red Wing and Lion fan. His love of dogs led to him spending many years volunteering at the Delta Animal Shelter and also helping teach obedience classes and evaluating dogs at the kennel club.

He loved camping and spent many summers traveling with his sister and brother-in-law out west. He also enjoyed his yearly 4th of July camping with family and friends in Grand Marais, Michigan telling jokes around the campfire.

He leaves behind his high school sweetheart, Jean, whom he married on December 18, 1958.

His wonderful children. daughter, Deborah Borchert (Jerry) his 2 sons, Robert Lyle (Lauren) and Kevin Lyle (Debbie), grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sue Ellen.
