WILSON — Leo R. Sjoholm, 93 of Wilson, MI passed away on Friday December 26, 2025 at Transition Assisted Living in Gladstone, MI. Leo was born on January 6, 1932 in Daggett, MI to Gunard and Sophie (Klatt) Sjoholm. He was a 1949 graduate of Stephenson High School. On May 20, 1950, Leo married Caroline Fisher in Waukegan, IL. Leo farmed and worked as a welder at Harnischfeger until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, fishing, dancing and playing cards. In his younger years, Leo enjoyed participating in shooting matches.

Survivors include his children: Carol Wells of Burleson, TX, Leroy (Lexi) of Powers, MI, Norma Sjoholm of Kenosha, WI, David of Forest, MS, Donna (Glen) VandeZande of Fondulac, WI, Kevin (Elizabeth) of Fort Worth, TX, Irene McDonald of White Pigeon, MI, Steven of Palmetto, GA and Dorothy Debelak of Bark River, MI; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ann Messar of Gladstone, MI and Lucille Tolonen of Highland Park, IL; nieces and nephews.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents: Gunard & Sophie; wife: Caroline; son: Robert; and granddaughter: Tamara.

Visitation for Leo will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Saturday January 10, 2026 from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Service at 3:00 pm. A luncheon will follow at the Carney Nadeau American Legion Post in Carney. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood in the spring.
