Kenneth ‘Paul’ Halase

GREEN BAY, Wis. – On the afternoon of November 27, 2025, Kenneth “Paul” Halase passed away unexpectedly at his home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His infectious laugh and charming wit will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Born on September 21, 1982, Paul arrived just two days before his mother’s birthday, a timely gift that brought immense joy to Ken Sr. and Terry Ann Halase. Raised alongside his two brothers in Bessemer, Michigan, and later in Gladstone, Paul grew up in a loving household that celebrated laughter and whimsy.

A proud graduate of Gladstone High School in 2000, Paul continued his education at Bay College, where he earned a certification in welding. His dedication to his craft showcased his skill in the trades of welding, painting, and carpentry.

Paul was a descendant of a long line of practical jokers, and his own playful spirit was contagious. He had a twinkle in his eye that could light up a room and a heart that embraced everyone around him. His joy was most evident in the way he talked about his children, sharing stories and laughter that reflected his deep love and affection for them.

An ardent supporter of the Green Bay Packers, Paul’s loyalty to his team was unwavering. Sundays were reserved for football, and nothing made him happier than adorning the green and gold while playing armchair quarterback from his living room.

Paul also had a passion for the dramatic and captivating world of WWE wrestling, especially the “old school” NWA and WCW era of the 1980’s and 90’s (http://s.he/). He was known to “Wooo” at inappropriate times in appreciation of the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), Ric Flair.

In addition to his passion for sports, Paul was an avid bowler, earning a reputation as a formidable opponent on the lanes. Whether he was rocking a classic style or trying out new techniques, his enthusiasm for bowling was contagious. His friends often recalled the lively banter, friendly competition, and spontaneous celebrations that took place after a successful strike.

Paul’s spirit will continue to resonate through the countless memories he created. His laughter, charm, and humor may now echo in the skies above. If you ever hear a strange sound coming from the heavens, don’t be alarmed–it’s just Paul cracking jokes with the angels, brightening their day as he always did here on Earth.

Paul is survived by his son, Benjamin Halase, step daughter, Madalyn Way, father, Kenneth Halase Sr., brothers Phil (Sara) Lamarch and Travis Halase, sister-in-law, Gina Bozzo as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a vast network of friends who will cherish his memory forever. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Terry Ann Decker.

A visitation will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. A celebration of Paul’s life will begin at 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Halase family. Paul may have left us too soon, but his laughter and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
