RAPID RIVER — Frank W. Schmitt, 97, of Rapid River, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025 surrounded by family following a brief illness. A full obituary will be forthcoming. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2025 from 4:00 until 5:00 PM at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Mike Markwell officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Frank will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba, MI.
