Lee Emerson Grover
ESCANABA — Lee Emerson Grover, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on October 21st at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash surrounded by his family.
Born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin on February 13, 1933, Lee lived a life marked by integrity and deep devotion to his family and friends. He married the love of his life, Patricia DeMars, on September 9, 1961, and they enjoyed 64 wonderful years together.
After graduating from Ripon College, Lee proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Watertown, New York. He later embarked on a long and accomplished career in pharmaceutical sales during which he logged over 2.5 million miles driving across the UP and northern Wisconsin — a testament to his work ethic and commitment.
Following retirement, Lee embraced a slower pace, spending his mornings having coffee with friends and filling his days with the things he loved most. He was an avid golfer, with three hole-in-ones highlighting his decades-long dedication to the game. A sharp card player, he played Bridge three times a week with several groups of friends and never said no to a game of cribbage or gin rummy.
He loved the UP, the warmth of a small town and especially found enjoyment in the outdoors. A skilled hunter, he looked forward each year to the annual gathering with childhood friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and recurring clever quips, and was always ready to share a good joke or story.
A lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers, he remained loyal through every high and low, always cheering with heart. He had a fondness for popcorn and a repertoire of favorite tunes that he played from memory on the piano well into his later years.
Above all, Lee was most proud of his family. His grandchildren brought him much joy, and he celebrated their achievements and character with pride. His love, support, and strong moral values have left a lasting legacy in their lives.
Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children Lisa (John) Gregory, Lynne Eder, Amy (Michael) Wagner, and Tim (Cindy) Grover; grandchildren Justin and Ian Gregory, Andie (Abbey) Eder La Tour, Kayeleigh (Ryan) Brown, Matthew and Megan Wagner, and Grace Grover; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Grover, mother Selma Grover, brother Sheldon Grover, and sister Elizabeth Fay.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Lee Grover will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Cowen officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in the Ludington Room located at the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash.
