Jean Lois Noskey
Jean Lois Noskey, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 25, 2025, in Manistique, Michigan, with her devoted husband of 71 years by her side.
Jean was born in Gladstone, Michigan, where she was confirmed at First Lutheran Church. She graduated from Gladstone High School, where she served as a majorette and met her future husband, John (“Jack”) Noskey. Their shared love of dance was a joyful and enduring part of their life together.
A dedicated homemaker, Jean was actively involved in the upbringing and education of her children. She gave generously of her time to numerous youth and community organizations, including Indian Guides, Indian Maidens, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, the Parent-Teacher Association, and band boosters. In later years, she found deep fulfillment in quilting for Lutheran World Relief and took great pleasure in cultivating her beautiful flower gardens.
Jean also had a passion for travel and, alongside her husband and close friends, visited many parts of the world. Their journeys included destinations such as China, the Middle East, Europe, and Tahiti. Among all of their travels, Hawaii became a cherished and frequent destination.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon, Glenn, and Wayne.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; their three children–Lisa, Laura, and John; and three grandchildren–Lee, Katie, and Emily.
At this time, no services are planned. The Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Noskey family with the arrangements and online condolences can be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
