Ethel B. Rademacher, 99, of Escanaba, passed away Wednesday evening, October 8, 2025 with her loving family surrounding her.
She was born in Escanaba on August 18, 1926, the daughter of Albin and Martha (Peterson) Green. Ethel was an Escanaba native and graduated from Escanaba High School.
On, September 3, 1949, Ethel married Joseph Rademacher at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
She was employed at the Fair store and Beck’s Grocery for five years.
Ethel enjoyed reading, golfing, wintering in Florida, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to dance, play pinochle with family on Thursday afternoons, and attending bible studies at Central United Methodist Church. Ethel will always be remembered as the neighborhood “mom” who took care of and loved everyone.
She was a member of Woody’s Run Golf Course, Central United Methodist Church, and the Ford River Lions Club.
She is survived by children, Janet (Randy) Snowden, Stephen (Connie) Rademacher, Mary Jo (David) Wellman, Lynn Cole, and Kris Rademacher; grandchildren, Randy (Jessica) Snowden, Deanna (Dave) Robinette, Melissa Kressin, Jennifer (Brian) Tourangeau, Alicia (Brian) Hughes, Branden (Kate Lasnoski) Wellman, Derrek Wellman; 17 great grandchildren, Johanna, Jeran, and Jakob Snowden, Ethan, Natalie, and Ben Tourangeau, Jorja, Mya, and Maleah Kressin, Brie (Ryan) Lippens, Megan Robinette (Josh Lamb) and Johnathan Robinette; great great granddaughter, Charlotte Sue Lamb; nephew, Neil (Debbie) Martinson; niece, Sharon (Richard) England; and her wonderful caretaker, Donna Smith.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; siblings, Leona (Alvin) Martinson and Wendell (Lorraine) Green, sister-in-law, Phyllis Glurdenwood; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Helen Rademacher; grandson, Bradley Snowden; granddaughter, Kristen Snowden; great grandson, Justin Snowden; and nephew, Allen Martinson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 322 S. Lincoln Road, Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Erin Totten-Jones officiating. A light luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the service in the church hall.
Burial will take place in West Ford River Cemetery.
